Chocolate stuffed appam recipe

Chocolate stuffed appam, prepared with atta (wheat flour) , jaggery and stuffed with chocolate in paniyaram pan. Inspired from Tastemade’s nutella stuffed mini pancake bites, I prepared chocolate stuffed appams in paniyaram pan. I had it bookmarked in instagram. But wanted to make use of the ingredients in our Indian kitchen. I have used the regular atta and jaggery for sweetening. I never buy nutella as Aj is allergic to chocolate, also don’t hear good things about it. So had some of the baking chocolate chips reserved from the one I bought for Chocolate covered strawberries.

Had lots of chocolate chips, that I planned for other recipes too, but had it as snack and almost about to finish, before which was saved some for making chocolate stuffed appam.

Made it simple, just like preparing pancake batter, used milk for making batter. Added baking powder, vanilla in it, but thought banana would be a right choice if you want to make it fluffy. I wanted without banana, so the flavour is fullest, as adding banana makes banana flavor dominating.

I used atta, jaggery in this. You can use whole wheat flour, all purpose flour as main ingredient and use brown sugar, white sugar or demerara sugar for sweetening. Can use a pinch of cooking soda for softness. Use cardamom for alternate flavour.
